How we’re keeping your family safe
To provide a safe, comfortable environment for each learning pod session, see our safety guidelines below. Additionally, we recommend the pod teacher and the families coordinate with each other to create their own "pod" safety guidelines.
Our Pod Teachers
Must undergo and clear a CA DOJ Live Scan Fingerprint Background Check
Are required to be Mandated Reporters
Screening and Questionnaire
All parents, guardians, pod participants, and pod teachers must complete a Covid-19 safety questionnaire both when they sign up with Swing, and every morning in which they engage in a learning pod session. Pod teachers and families must acknowledge and agree to our official safety guidelines before the pod teacher is confirmed for the family. More details on this process will be shared in the matching process.
Learning Pod Size
Learning pod sessions can include up to eight students and no more than ten people total within the vicinity.
Wear a Protective Mask
Anyone present at or near a tutoring session will wear a mask at all times. It is up to the pod leaders and families to enforce and manage.
Follow Standard Covid-19 Safety Guidelines
Frequently wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. When soap and running water are unavailable, use an alcohol-based hand rub with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands that are visibly soiled.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
Practice good respiratory etiquette, including covering coughs and sneezes.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Stay home if sick.
Recognize personal risk factors. According to U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), certain people, including older adults and those with underlying conditions such as heart or lung disease or diabetes, are at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19.
